anyone know of any resource for "decoding" the numbers stamped on amal carbs that tell you what model bike they were originally on? I'm curious because the ones on my 73 750 are 932's (should be 930's from what little i know) and each one has a different stamp, one is 26 the other 27. anyone know what these numbers equate to? im thinking somewhere down the line my dad replaced them at some point wherever he got these (no internet back then...)

750 carbs could have been either 932 (32mm) or 930 930mm) for 1973, but most would have been 932.

/26 and /27 refers to the particular combination of jets, needle, slide cutaway etc. as fitted to those carbs originally.

IIRC the codes, someone one put on a L and a R carb from the Combat model. A reasonable thing to do after riding with the Combat model guys.
