My friend Dennis built me this "bike simulator" to help my wrist/arm... with only great components such as mahagony, Tomaselli, Doherty, SS hardware and custom made cables it should give me a "boost" to ride again (picture of a "49ers" ride on the screen, CD music of the TT (Honda 6, MV4, Manx), I am missing a big electric fan but do I need an helmet?).
I hope it will help my wrist movement in opening the throttle, only 15 degres up & down right now, braking and blimping the throttle is a no no right now: only one nerve to "order" the 2 actions and it looks like not being in the digital age!

Am I loosing it?

Maybe I need to smash bugs on my teeth!!

That's a nice friend you have there. Anything to speed the recovery and feed the addiction! You should have him make you a chair to go with it.

For an instant I thought it was a real simulator but then I saw it was to get your right arm muscles ready to operate the throttle and the brake, maybe your friend can hook that up to a Wii :?:

Prompt rétablissement

What a shit eating grin! Looks like you are lost on a ride but don't care. Practice makes perfect, mostly. Could ya review me on what the damaged area was and how long it developed to reach a crisis?

Well hobot it's kind of "normal": when the humerus was broken it pulled some nerves (surgeons sais at that time that nerves were not tore only extended) after 6 months of no improvements I went for a 14h surgery in which 4 nerves under the collarbone were grafted with protein tubes... Another 6 months of only biceps fonction, falling down hand and atrophy of shoulder/triceps/deltoid etc. A final surgery in December to cross tendons on my wrist so I can extend my hand/fingers. No more plans for anything else apart fusing arm/shoulder together on one and only position pre WW2 style! I cannot position my arm anywhere without the other hand and I am thinking of Velcro to attach my hand to the handlebars; my new gadget is to help me get the throttle gesture!!!
Cannot help to think where I could be now if Bush and his Joe-mediocre-republicans had not block stem cells research for 8 years!!

Philippe thanks for filling me in. 15 procedures total, ugh. Interesting, confusing to me though, atrophy of the upper trapizious implies upper cervical level as its never supply is C3. The others supply is below that, implies a central nervous system injury at C3 being missing, as has same common paths and the more distal mm's. Is there any-much lose of sensation or burning or tingling in arm or hand?

Anywho hope your adaptive innovations work a treat.

Philippe,
Great to see you out and ontop of your bike. It was a great day here in the Bay Area, I am vary happy for you!

Fabulouse!, congrads and all that French stuff Jean said! Very happy to hear your rolling. How do your hands feel? I still have very little feeling in my right thumb and first two fingers from a neck injury but at least I have use of them. Hope you will be able to enjoy the Snorton your bike was and will again be stunningly pretty.
