Thanks for your replies. The sprag/alternator came off using the sprocket puller AN 06-4297, 2 - 5/16-24×1 1/2 tension bolts and a 1/4 ball bearing in the center drill of the crankshaft. Thank you Alton for drilling and tapping the holes the correct alignment to use this tool for servicing. I was apprehensive using this style of puller as there are only 2 threads into the piece. I snuggled up the puller then a couple good taps on the compression bolt and it released and tightly slid off successfully. Hee Haw no damage. Thanks again, Dave.
