From Brit Iron List revealing some historic Norton tradition the New 961 carries on...
I talked to the Triumph dealer down the road from my house (metro Los Angeles area) and they are supposed to get 6 new 961's in the next week or so (all pre-sold). The best I could do was to see one in the back room taken apart with a snapped cam chain. Looked like a very robust clutch basket and gear primary drive, I think it has a 270 degree crank. It has quality Ohlins front and rear suspension. The machining and castings looked to be very high quality. Nice and thin at the knees.
The prices quoted ranged from about $18,000 - $22,000 depending on the configuration.
best,
doug
