5" WRENCH x 60 ft # = 300 in #

300/12 = 25 ft # (Couldn't catch the 60# reading)

Nope, the open end is angled away from the direction of rotation. As long as you pull perpendicular to the rotation (a must to get an accurate torque reading) the hook will slide deeper into the gap.
 
just the same...keep your thumb on it. I had a neighbor that was good at wrestling tires on and off. One night the tire iron slipped and binged him in the forehead.
 
Broke the end of my little finger when the torque wrench slipped off of the clutch centre and my finger smacked the end of the crankshaft.

That stung a little bit. Took some time wiping up the blood too.

But I was young and ham-fisted.

Kinda!

But the end of the crankshaft went through the nail, broke the bone, so end of finger was a kinda V shape…

It doesn’t appear that the scales are at 90’ to the spanner.
the angle looks a little obtuse to me, not that i think it would really matter

Can’t blame my boo boo on a wrench. This is what happens when you are covering the front brake while approaching an intersection and a teenage girl in an SUV comes into your lane and smacks your bars . I have a bad habit of resting my pinky finger on the lever ball end rather than keep it inside … It did indeed break the end of my finger.

It was hard to get a picture and assure proper angles.
 
Where did you get it from? Wondering what the part number is and are you happy with it? Just asking as I'm about to refit barrels + head and been putting it off.
