Has been awhile since I posted last. Finally got it running this a.m. First couple of kicks got a backfire but a few later it came to life with a roar! Just need to get it safetied, plated and insured. Whenever I had a problem, a search here usually found the answer quickly, like this morning when I had no spark on my Boyer. Had it plugged into the wrong white yellow wire! Such a wealth of knowledge here! Many Thanks!

I'm in Toronto and rebuilt a 71 Commando a few years ago, purchased in Madoc. The images you posted didn't come through but mine was a basket case and is very well dialled in (last week of riding before I put it away for the winter). Let me know if you encounter any issues. I've turned every nut and bolt on the machine and literally know it inside and out.

Thanks BC. Still fine tuning the front brake. Have ordered a cable without the switch and will try that next year. Also a pesky leak at back of primary at the wire pass through grommet, maybe because I’m running atf. Again thanks for the offer.

Don't over fill your primary with oil but if the right amount of oil and its still leaks out of the gromet then a little bit of silicon on the gromet and wire will stop it, after time the gromet goes hard from heat and the wire get lose in the hole of the gromet.
