Does anyone know the crank angle of the Norton V4 custom?

You mean this one?

I think he did it like the Harleys, with two rods on each throw, but I don't know the angle between the throws. You might be able to get some more info from looking at the cams here, if there's enough resolution to see the details.

I don't have any real reason to ask or know this deep into any mechanics Ken but yep that's the one with most interesting attractive V engine to me with its barrels canted both ways. Never heard how it worked out or not. I bet a side line business could be built around that configuration whether it loosens fillings or not.

We thinks that water cooling could be required,
if anything but moderate performance was being considered ?

The owner did ride it on the street for a while. Last time I talked to him, it was still partially disassembled because he wanted to change the carburetion setup. But he was absorbed in a totally different (non motorcycle)project at the time, and the V-4 was just gathering dust.

any vids of it running?

Not that I know of. It was built back before smart phones existed, and when video cameras were large and expensive.
