Fuel line assembly question

@Tornado. Any chance you could send me a pic of where the "Exhaust rocker boxes" are? And the head feed banjo? Apologies if this seems very novice.
Exhaust rocker covers are the two aluminum domes at front top of head...held on with two domed nuts each. Pop them off and there's your rocker box...which is also where you access the rocker to valve stem clearance adjusters.

The head oil feed banjos sit above each spark plug and originally have the black oil pipe connecting them to each other over top of head, with right side banjo having a second oil pipe to the oil pump down at right rear of timing cover.

Mate you need to get a workshop manual, if you are going to own or do anything on a Norton you need to know where things are or what the parts are called, it will also tell you what to do after a long layup, priming the oil pump and all, valve adjustments etc.

DaveinCanada,
You can find a free version of the parts list and shop manual in the Technical Section of this Norton Commando forum. Look for your year bike and go from there.
There is a wealth for information in this section.
Hope that helps.
Cheers,
Tom

Actually, it sounds as if Dave should start with the riders handbook. It covers a lot of very useful info, both for a novice and for an experienced brit bike owner.
It's available from the same sources as the shop manual if you need a free copy, otherwise print versions are available from Andover Norton + others
