So the turkey had the bids at $10,400 and didn't make a deal?

Fat chance he'll get more than that anywhere.

He has $10500 invested in the bike and the shill(in my opinion) bids went to $10400 with it not meeting his reserve, I wish I could justify buying it back ,it deserves a good home.Phillip, you got any room? :?

Back in '73/'74 there was a bike show at the armory here in Minneapolis. There was a red one like this on a stand that I damn near bit on. I think Leo's or WIW had it there. Still love the looks of that thing. On a side note, the local band Cain played at the show. Jigs Lee of the band rode a black Commando out on stage to open the set. Those were the daaaaze...

This might have been the bike you seen way back then, got any photos? It seemed to me that the previous owner 30 years ago,
Merlin my diseased friend said he bought it from somewhere in northeast Iowa, like Iowa City, and that's pretty close for a weird, odd thing like this! The plot thickens, as I didn't have a real good feeling of where it came from before Merlin.

No, no photos. Try calling Leo's in Lakeville and ask for Mike. He's been with them since they were in Bloomington. Or try Mitch Klemph. He was with WIW at that time. They might have an idea.

well the Scott aint goin nowhere soon, so it leaves the 1959 99 Wideline 600cc; I would need to consider selling it,to buy the Dunstall back. Really just a unpalatable decision.
