I tried that already but I think I may have used the wrong split collars. I will try again.

What do you think of the progress so far?
Looks great! I'm more interested on how it will run when you get all those Dunstall engine internals turning and jumping around. It should be a runner. you guys should have seen the crankshaft!!! I have the photos somewhere. I think I would put the other drum brake wheel on I sent you and figure out the Lyster stuff, it might take a while 8)

Can someone tell me what the 3 hole bracket is for and how it's mounted? I have this bracket however have no idea what it's for.

That's my photo of my set up I sold 4 -5 years ago or so. IIRC I made that bracket. It was to stabilize the tops of the 2 hoses where they joined a Y to the 72 commando reservoir I used. The single hole mounted to the lower triple clamp.

Nice project! It's looking good!

EDIT: Wow, my memory still works, I now think the section with the 2 holes mounts to the bottom triple clamp (in holes existing in the 72 triple clamps) and I had an odd brass fitting with drilled mounting flange to match the other hole, then a single line going in from the reservoir and the 2 ports going out to the 2 hoses. That was my "Y" connection. I don't believe the brass fitting or the tri mount were original Lyster.

don't forget to find some red fork gaiters! ( in the build sheet)

I got the old Dunstall started today and it sounds amazing. I will post some more pictures and a video of it coming back to life after 33+ years. Oh, and the lyster disc brakes work!

I didn't like the way they clanged. I was going to fit some tiny coil springs on the 3 keeper screws to hold them steadier and stop the noise.

Looking forward to pics and video!

Hey Ho jimbo, whats the deal with those hollowed out factory lifters, oh my oh my oh my.
Sleek rockers too.

that's to Mr Paul Dunstall's lightened up valve train handiwork.

Ok then Dunstall no fool but a seasoned risk taker getting away with it. Enjoying you savoring your Commando treats.

Those parts are in this Dunstall

you know that this bike is a 1968 Dunstall Commando 750 , and is not a 810 ( IMHO that's a good thing) and has the earlier Dunstall/Lyster brake setup,a very, very, rare bike
