Well we had our annual union ride today from NYC to Greenwood lake on mostly secondary roads.Took Nelly out for its first long stretch and was very pleased with the day.We had sunshine and downpours but the 850 never missed a beat.Recently rebuilt gearbox was super smooth and carbs were flawless throughout the rev range.
Our group is 80% Harley guys 10% Sports bike and 10% everything else but all had thumbs up for the Norton and tons of Q's whenever we stopped off for a break. One guy even said that he knew Norton was back in business it would only be a matter of time before he saw one on the road!
All is not perfect but not terrible either.Wavy lines on the road surface (like the ones over bridges) the bike is squirmy.Brakes are terrible in the rain especially the front one.The shocks are shocking.Admittedly these are areas I havent seen to yet so all in time.
Good times are on the way my friends good times are on the way
