If thats a genuine original bike, its been wrapped in oiled cotton wool all its life (?).
Or been, relatively recently, completely restored - and barely used since.
The fact he can show the inside of the cylinder head....
When you see a pic of the usual barn find bike, its the rust and paint and chrome deterioration that really stands out.
Will find a suitable pic...
BTW, the rim centres should be painted black, not silver, so the wheels have been apart somewhere, recently.
And the gold decal on the tank is nothing like original either, they only appeared a few years back.
Still a lovely bike though...
It may be splitting hairs, but there is a difference between 'original paint' and 'original type paint scheme'.
This one is the latter...
