16 inch rear wheel

I aquired some spare parts and in the mix is a 71 - rear hub laced to a 16 inch rim with a 5.10x16 4 ply nylon tire. Any idea why someone would build a 16. I understand 18's.
Any value to this?

Amazingly yes, several members have been on the lookout for one. I sold the one I had for $300.

it was a fad in the 70's, a "hog tire" went with long tubes, hardtails, springers, apehangers, Z-bars, peanut tanks, etc.... SEND IT! :lol:

Yes I admit this is definitely bothering the back of my mind. My 1st bike was a sprinter but my cycle buddy had a rigtheous chopper sans front brake and parking lots turns impossible. If cheap enough ya man I'm a 60's and 70's imprinted fella.
