Yes but it didn't start first kick. Was referring to the 920cc machine video.
If it amuses you…
I'd send a couple to you, but the postage to the states would probably pay for ten.Heck I can spin that hunk of rubber on my kick start lever. And, the lever is sticking out the end of it. Probably should change it out someday.![]()
Thanks I'm not entirely sure they are the same as what ends up on a P11 kick start. I haven't had a Commando since the late 1980's. I feel your pain on the postage for certain. I'm currently in a not ordering anything that would be shipped from outside the US mode. Really puts a damper on having a Norton toy. Fortunately I can also pretend like I'm done messing with it. I'll see how long that lasts.I'd send a couple to you, but the postage to the states would probably pay for ten.
Low CR pistons in your P11?Funny to watch not so funny to experience that stop of the kick. I know what it is like.
Wish I had the energy to re-engineer a cNw starter so I could use one on my P11. Although it might be a heck of a lot cheaper to put mid-CR JS long rod pistons in my engine and remove the high CR JS pistons. Yeah that's the ticket.
Good point. Maybe just a .040" copper head gasket. Way less work than doing pistons.Low CR pistons in your P11?
Are you giving it to the Missus ??
Sounds like the Kaufmann cartridge shells used in "Flight of the Phoenix" movie to fire up the engine.Good point. Maybe just a .040" copper head gasket. Way less work than doing pistons.
She'd put C4 in the fuel tank with a remote detonator and push the button with it in the garage. Boom![]()
