Im trying to fit my cylinder head back on and Im hitting a snag. I can only get it down to where there is still about a 1/4" gap between the head and the barrel.
First, I test fitted it with the studs on and the pushrods out. Everything sits down nice and flush.
Then I put in the pushrods. I made sure the ball ends fit in followers correctly. (Long rods in the middle, short on the outside). I put the head on. I got all the rockers to sit correctly into the cups of the pushrods, but i still have about a 1/4 inch gap. I tried rotating the engine, but that didn't help. The rocker adjusters are screwed all the way in.
Am I missing something? The head should fit all the way down before putting the bolts in, correct?
