Where else?

I have a 72' Commando "Combat" and am draining all the fluids this winter. I've emptied out the fuel from the tank, the oil from the crankcase though I never found the sump nut just the one at the bottom of the crank case (read that the combat does not have the traditional sump nut at the bottom of the case) let me know if I am missing something. I emptied out the oil tank as well. Will be putting in a new oil filter shortly. Any recommendations on oil that I can get here in the states (Colorado). Working on bleeding the brakes after receiving the AN Bleed kit. Is there anywhere else I need to drain and refresh?

Gearbox, primary and forks have their own oil.

Combat's have the one Sump bolt you found.
Other Norton's have a larger Sump Bolt with a screen.
You didn't miss anything.
LAB listed your other oils.

This manuel is not totally necessary but is heilpful to a 'New' Commando owner.

Unless the bikes history is know to you, I would remove the oil tank and give it a REALLY good clean out, as it’s probably got years worth of sludge at the bottom. Then when reinstalling it, use Dowty style bonded steel & rubber washers for the unions.

The 72 cases were a backward step, the removal of the sump filter was the worst part of this. The current recommended mods cure the issue with the forward sump pickup not working at high revs by changing the location to the back. The lack of a sump filter can be partially covered by drilling a series of holes in the driveside dam that tries to keep the oil away from the rear breather, but the timing side case does not have the dam so debris can still get directly to the return side of the pump via that route.

If you compare cases with the factory sump filter to the 72 cases there is not...
