Band-aid for a 750

Thanks, folks, for your opinions and perspectives.
I figured I´d give the ATF in the gearbox a try; box is leaking at the kick shaft seal, so I´ll be into that later anyway and can do something different if needed.
I´ll keep a close eye on things as I move forward - the sound of a broken crankcase is, unfortunately, familiar to me and one I hope never to hear again!
A wealth of info here; you all never disappoint!

I just run Hypoid GB oil since new, been over 15 years since I been in my GB when I replace the last KS pawl and replaced the worn KS gear that was causing the pawl to wear out, just don't over fill the GB I measure the right amount of oil the manual say to use have never had oil go into the primary and my GB don't leak.
The reason GB oil migrates to the primary is they over fill the GB, I also put grease on my clutch rod as well when I do maintenance on my clutch, been doing this for near 50 years.
