Andover drum brake kit coming

Our own new drum brake front hub, bare, part 06.0364/1. These will be offered c/w internals as soon as we get round to making some up. We also plan to offer complete front wheels, and eventually a conversion kit of parts for the owners of disc brake Commandos who fancy the classic drum brake look.

Nice and shynnee... Real Purrdee. Pimping your rims, I see.;)

I had that brake on one of my bikes. It does stop you but it has little feel or control. Put on
Pender's six pot. Job done.

I can still feel the pain from my last crash, A drum brake always looks better than discs. When I used drum brakes, I had nightmares about entering corners behind other riders. A drum brake is dangerous if used when the bike is on a lean. You never know if it might grab or fade - it changes with the lining material and how often the brake has been used - heat ! Some guys cut the leading edge of the linings right back at an angle - it makes little difference, If I remember correctly - when I mentioned tank-slappers and posted a video of one - people were looking for steering dampers. Locked front brakes cause tank-slappers. Staying alive might be important.

Im guessing that disc brake pads never grab, chatter due to isues with caliper mounting, or lock up a wheel! How did the motoring public ever survive before them? Oh yeah....its called rider/ driver skill. And I always thought tank slappers were caused by the top motor mount.
