A better, competitive, V4 as I outlined previously.I’m curious what everyone is hoping or expecting with the new line up?
What will be a win or disappointment in your opinion?
That's what I'm thinking, so how many copies of a copy does the market need?I wonder how the new BMW 450 twin is doing ? Won’t the Norton twin be like it ?
I see what you’re saying. There already is a Aprilia 457 , Kaw 500 , Honda 500 etc. I thought they would have gone up to 750 cc at least . Unless they think their bike will be so much better kinda like the Aprilia 660 is in its class ? Where the average 650 twin is 70hp , Aprilia is 95hp. Does that make any sense ? Probably not !That's what I'm thinking, so how many copies of a copy does the market need?
You would think they wouldn't want to use Commando again for a little bit..The 450 is aimed at the huge Indian market and the A2 class in the west. Between the 450 and the V4 1200 there is the third 'platform'... perhaps a new Commando?
It's the most famous name they have, of course they'll use it. Just as Triumph use the Bonneville name. You would think they wouldn't want to use Commando again for a little bit..
A wonderful thought....... perhaps a new Commando?
Yes, but I'd rather they put new people on getting the damn product out the door. They need to hire some new PR people...
I hope I am wrong. But I think I am going to be disappointed.Yes, but I'd rather they put new people on getting the damn product out the door.
Trendy videos don't make the wait any easier.
No need to be disappointed really.I hope I am wrong. But I think I am going to be disappointed.
The problem is there is just too much of too much....too many brands fighting for what little there is of a customer base... I think the Triumph comeback was well timed, but now just so many others with more to come.No need to be disappointed really.
Norton is in a building phase, as such, they won't be able to have offerings for everyone right now.
I'm just hoping that what they introduce has a quality about it that previous models like the 961 lacked.
That will signal that Norton really is back.
There probably will not be a Commando model, but I'm sure that the Commando isn't dead.
It's too cool of a model concept for Norton to ignore for very long.
But we probably will have to wait a few years for that model to return - that is if Norton survives.
Biggest spokesman? No. Enthusiast, realist, optimist? Certainly.Soon, the only Norton fan will be Stephen Spencer. He’s their biggest spokesman.
Who’s Norton?Biggest spokesman? No. Enthusiast, realist, optimist? Certainly.
Just never had much time for meaningless negativity - especially in the absence of situational information - particularly in relation to a marque that still has a great deal of meaning to a great number of people.
You know, given this is an ‘enthusiasts’ forum!![]()
