Would you believe this! His mother Lillian worked at a Lucas factory!! see wikipedia.

Very sad day for me & my wife's even more upset. I went to see him in 1980 at the Norbreck Night Spot, a tiny venue in Blackpool , when he was just starting up with Blizzard of Oz. A true one off character.

Saw Sabath outdoors in Mainz circa '72? Two stages. Sabath, Deep Purple and Fleetwood Mac the same night. Oh the days....
