Charging the battery "in situ" ok?

I have a Pazon and have installed wires on the battery with a one way plug that hangs down a little below the seat. To charge battery, plug the charger (with matching one way plug) into the bike's one way plug. Don't have to remove the seat or the side cover and battery charges all the way.

I use the same configuration for maintenance.
Bypass all other components and direct wire to battery. Its a really simple method that allows monitoring charge level and keeping batt. topped off during cold months or longer down times whether using original or modern electrical components.

OK,..... I figured it out. I don't have a battery tender on the Norton. I have a Shuemacher battery maintainer and that's why the lights don't match up to the battery tender manual. I do also have a battery tender for the turtle... so I thought they were both the same brand...
