With respect H3, I don’t really follow your reasoning or logic. To clarify, you believe Gates is not truly a philanthropist because if he were he would have (attempted to) solve the problem of 3rd world water insecurity? Some might consider that anomalous thinking?

Above extract records part of the billions given by BMGF to assist with 3rd word development - the list of benefactors/causes is just too long to show here.
So too, your statement about media control. Rich people that own (or donate to) media outfits certainly can influence or maybe even control content - ask any Aussie about Rupert Murdoch. But sufficient of the media that he ‘owns the narrative’? Nationwide press, independent journalists, foreign press, fact check organisations……and on? That’s some reach! For a man that can control the narrative (mainstream or otherwise) he’s doing a pretty poor job! There is a lot of negative commentary on Gates - he is a pretty large target. Not really worth mentioning less credible news sources, which have accused him of everything but consorting with aliens to depopulate the world - I’m sure that it’s only a matter of time

!
Gonna leave the anti-vax comment alone because that‘s just way to contentious (and may be inappropriate) for this forum, regardless of how you word it. Just to say, we’ve had the benefit of vaccines since the late 18th century. I think history will show that recent vaxinations have saved many millions of lives.
To get back on topic - Is Gates an expert in philanthropy? Yes say I. No say you. The difference - I suspect (may be) from where we choose to consume our news.
