I'm a vintage reseller and also work on old bikes, recently I bought a garage full of parts, mostly for the four wideline frames in it and some 4ls brakes to complete a triumph project. Most of the parts I have been able to identify with the exception of one engine. It looks like an early norton model 18 with shorter fins, or a jap or early triumph. The fins appear uncut as there is a casting mark directly under the exhaust. I will upload numbers and marks as soon as I get back to my storage to take pictures. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Anyone interested in the engine or other parts in the bay area feel free to let me know. Also have a garden gate frame, mid sixties atlas frame, bsa a10 engine that i was told was a rocket goldstar but dont think it is, and might be able to let go of one or two of the featherbeds. Also how do you post pictures?

Yeah i'm having trouble with that... why is it so difficult to upload pictures? I can't upload content to media, the picture icon only takes urls, not files, cut and paste doesnt work, there's no stickys for uploading media or faq anywhere obvious on the site, maybe i'm missing something? I'd very much appreciate anyone steering me in the right direction.

You can't upload directly here unless you become a paying VIP member although you can upload if you use an image hosting website.

Oh okay, thanks for the response, really helpful, I guess I'll try posting again after I've created a flickr account and uploaded pictures. I wasn't trying to be ungrateful or difficult it's just genuinely confusing. Not sure if there is already something in place and I missed it but it might be good to have a cover letter to newly approved members about how the site works privileges and benefits etc. could really streamline the posting process. Anyway thanks for the responses and the time, ill try again once I've created an online gallery.
