It is Norton related, I promise....

When I put my Tab tank on last year I always thought that the original tank would look awesome on the wall in the house. Can anyone point me in the direction of how I would do this? My gut-feel is to mount it on a board (stained/varnished/etc) and mount that like a picture...but open to suggestions

Cut it in half ( vertically, front to back😁) then you have two! Modern mastic gun adhesives such as CT1 or OB1 can be used to mount it on a board, and would easily hold it.

Ref another thread about the difficulty in getting a Norton branded helmet you could always cut a big hole in it and epoxy it onto a cheap helmet for a unique piece of branded headwear. Perhaps a bit of an 'ALIEN' style vibe there?

I think the cut in half suggestion is a good one - you could then mount it on plaque or it could stand alone . If stand alone a fitted strut on tank where it meets wall would catch picture hook , etc .
Edit : for your own safety , is there a woman in the household that needs to be consulted for décor approval ? 😉

What type of wall is it (I mean 2x4 and sheetrock or concrete breeze block / brick etc??) reason I ask is because my oldest son once kicked a hole in his bedroom wall (accidently...well that's how it was described to me at the time ) anyway-the hole kinda looked like the Millenium Falcon spaceship outta Star Wars, so with a little plaster and some paint it became a fairly good rendition of it. So... I guess what I'm getting at is that you could mount it "in the wall" as opposed to on the wall (kinda like what jan nelder posted above) without too much difficulty- again, depending on what your wall is made out of.

You will need a good bandsaw as the tank is a lot thicker than you would expect..
Remember without fingers you’ll not be able to pull the clutch in!
