Did i see a while ago alloy xs650 left side bar switch with hi/lo, horn, turn, flash being the go to mod for our commando's. if so is it an ebay search ,
cheers Colin

MikesXS shows them.

CNW use a Honda HM-28QB-T switch, which is what I have. Push to cancel turn signals. No headlight flash tho. Not so gaudy either.

I use xs650 switchgear or maybe xs750 on my Norton
It's worked really well for 25 years
The indicator button is a "push off"
And the right switchgear lights switch has off/on pilot/on headlight positions that I prefer
Plus "off run off"
Plus I use the starter button for the Alton

Hi all,
Strange? For all the various problems I’ve had owning Norton’s and Triumphs for a life time, electrical problems have never been an issue. They refer to Lucas as the ‘Prince of Darkness‘ and I have to admit some of their products are cheap and nasty. I’m particularly thinking of their brake light switches. However, this aside I have not had major issues with my bike’s electrics.
Other than the occasional clean up of the contacts of the switch gear, my bikes and their switch gear have always worked perfectly.
Even if I had a significant failure I can’t quite imagine why I would replace the original switches with those from a Yamaha or any other brand of bike, unless there was absolutely no way I could fit original equipment. After all, a blinker can only blink, a horn can only hoot and a headlight can only be on high or low beam. In other words, unlike other performance mods there is no advantage to be gained by replacing standard items with non standard items.
just a thought
Al

There are lots of similar switch clusters on Amazon. What do you do about a clutch lever when using one?
Any 7/8's bar lever and mount will work. I swapped out my switchgear for the CNW stuff, and Matt sold me a Magura lever and new cable that wasn't listed on his site, but you can just ask him.

The reason I went to these levers on all my bikes is I have Dupetruyn's on both hands, and despite multiple surgeries to both hands over the last ten years, I can't get my fingers over non-adjustable levers. And I can't get my left pinky over any lever since it is fucked despite 2 open hand procedures. This is as straight as it gets.

Although I've not had any surgeries, my left hand looks eerily similar to yours. I messed mine up playing football at a work outing in 1985 or so. A few years later my dad and I were sitting next to each other at a bar with him sitting at my left. His right hand was on the bar with my left hand just a couple inches away as I looked down. At first I thought I was slightly buzzed because his hand was the mirror image of mine. Turns out he injured it in an accident a year or so earlier. Lol!
