latest photobucket shenanigans.. possible solutions

posting here cos i think most folks partake,

just became aware of the blurred photobucket pix deal

the only work around i'm aware of to get at a good pix is 3 clicks away, but needs to be repeated for every shot

clicking on a blurred pix in the forum takes me to a photobucket site that then shows a clear 1/2 image ..ffs

if you then click the right arrow(or next) image you then get full size,

then click left arrow (or back) to get or view a full size clear original pix

Not sure there is currently a fix for the latest PB blurring of images. There is a Chrome/Firefox/Safari browser extension for making the older blocked images re-appear.

Have you tried accessing the images in another type of browser (like FireFox or IE etc.)?

The better solution is to not use PhotoBucket at all and find another image hosting site. I have PBase.com since 2000. No adverts and no image-linking limits.

An even better solution is to sign up here with the VIP membership and then you can upload your images for hosting directly.

I’ve switched to Imgur. It’s free and has a great mobile app.

I never have to worry about it going anywhere as it hosts 90% of the cat videos and other memes on the internet.

I've deleted my photobucket account as they cut back the free allowance even further so my photobucket images in previous threads are gone unless I've changed them to postimage.
