On the dynamo there is an arrow that give you the rotation.
The arrow mut be seen fron drive side or timing side?
Second, 88 cam turns anticlock: it means that dynamo must turn clock or anticlock.
But is that good enough? the arrow will be pointing the wrong way!!!.
If Piero wants to perform a perfect restoration, he needs to obtain the correct dynamo. In this italian video, the E3N for a Triumph bike runs CCW as shown by an arrow on the stator housing near the drive end cover. There is probably a version running CW as well. I don't know the significance of the direction sign though and Piero should contact the guy appearing in the video.

Some manuals?Piero: Yes, of course. 6V and approx. 60W. 12V systems came about after 1962, prior to that all bikes had 6V, AMC/Matchless being one of the first to upgrade. You need to download some manuals!
