Headless...

Sorry to hear that Ken. Glad I got mine on! Thanks for all of the hard work on making this happen.

That is a shame, one of the best single improvements you could buy....glad I have one....!

Damn, looks like I missed the boat. I seem to be a day late and a dollar short for my Mklll. Great effort on your part though, maybe someone else will pick up where you left off..., how about it Don/madass140???? It would complement the cush drive rear hub that you are already producing.

Mine is number #10 via Jim Comstock, thanks Ken for all your hard work getting them out to us all.
Regards Mike

What a shame I was hoping they would continue being made for a long time yet!!

Have one, no regrets. Hope AN or someone will take over .

If Minnovation Racing are picking up some of Steve Maney’s stuff as rumoured, that would be the logical home for the Fullauto heads to go to.

They’d be able to supply all the big lumps of a very high spec engine then!

Never-the-less, Ken - you did a brave thing taking that project on, and they are a superb bit of kit!

A lot of hard work, really appreciated by the community!

These heads will be missed. Regardless of who will be taking on a production (if at all), to match Kens quality will not be easy. As with so many products for our Commandos, much is possible to make but to keep everything at high quality standards is a whole different ballgame. There are so many machine shops that may be part of the process and manufacturers that don't strive for this and it certainly affects the end user

I hope to see someone carry the torch on these as the market does need a head like this

Why not cNw grab the torch?

This was sad news. But tanks for all hard work.
I have one and haven’t regret at all. How many heads was made?

Really sorry to hear this, thankyou for all your hard work.I have just ordered mine!In time,I would probably have bought another one for my spare race engine.

I think the biggest part of doing these heads was finding the right foundry to do them but most places would want big orders to be able to make money and that would also be the killer, I am not sure how many heads Ken was making at a time and whether he was making any big money out of doing it, plus add to the stress all plays a big part and I am sure Ken has his reasons for pulling the plug, maybe he just wants to ride his bike more and enjoy life and I don't blame him, I wish I could have afforded one but then there are a lot of things I can't afford for more improvements for my bike.
Anyway all the best Ken in what ever you do next and enjoy as much time on the bike as you can.

I got a message from British Cycle Supply saying that their just-received supply of Full Auto heads was spoken for, but that more would be on the way. Further they mention that they are taking deposits on the next shipment...

So, is Ken no longer being a dealer and still shipping to distributors? Or is BSC poorly informed? I'd dig, but have no personal interest in spending that kind of money for performance I'll never use, but readily admit that I think it is a great story and a great product.

Also, if Ken is really closing the business, for any number of good reasons, why wouldn't he package the technology and sell it, or license it. It doesn't make sense to walk away and leave money on the table.

What am I missing?

i just received an email with this info also

here's the wording
Hi folks, just got a long awaited shipment of Fullauto cylinder heads for Nortons from Australia, and every one has immediately gone out to anxiously waiting customers.

As there have been lengthy time spans between batches, if you would like to be assured of delivery now on one of these superb quality and performance replacements for your worn out or missing stock head, please give us a deposit and we will have one on the way before this batch is gone.

A bit ambiguous wouldn't you say.

Just spoke with the people at British Cycle Supply. It appears they were not aware of the end of the manufacturing of Fullauto heads. He doesn't have any more at this time. He DID say that Andover would start making 850 & 750 heads but he did not know if they would be Fullauto heads or not. I have no way of confirming this.
