Evening Gentlemen. Jack Manning here at CBE. First, reiterating apologies to PZ . He contacted me and we straightened out the infringement per his note above pretty quickly I think. We are pretty straight-laced with that sort of stuff and are very sorry the rabbit got out of the hat on that one.
And, yes, it is a double acting cylinder and it does return under its own power (the nominal kickstart spring). Pneumatic solenoid is a 3 way, normally closed, so the cylinder vents back to it. We keep the lever down for 5 seconds (the time is programmable in development) to handle any kickbacks as the cylinder acts an air cushion. The return is therefore a very orderly pssssttt of air and a controlled return, not a snap back. Obviously, still have a ways to go on the website to get the details sorted to be clear on how it works.
Not much of a forum (of facebook, etc) guy, so if you have questions or comments, please feel free to contact us directly at Classic Bike or the new KickMagic site. If there is something on the forum I should address, just let us know. Thanks...Jack and Nick.
