- N/A Total restoration done on all components. Engine rebuilt in local race machine shop.
New tires-Seat reconditioned and recovered-Tank painted in original formula "Monaco Red"-Electrical harness reconditioned-New HT leads-Frame completely disassembled and refinished-Front forks torn down and new seals installed-Most chrome pieces sent out for replating-Fenders and exhaust pipes responded to cleaning and machine polishing-Large aluminum pieces were sanded, refinished and buffed with polishing wheels-Fuel shutoff valve replaced along with all fuel lines. Engine work; New pistons, new exhaust valves, new conn rods, new big end brgs. Tranny; opened and inspected, all new shift springs installed- Note: all gasket sets, seals and brgs purchased from Andover Norton, England- My motivation was to restore this "Atlas" as close as possible to the original when it left the Factory. (I had one back in the sixties)-She looks like new and runs well, starts on the 2nd or 3rd kick each time.
I am currently under treatment at Duke Medical Center in Raleigh. I am 78 and don't expect to ride anymore. I know how much I have put into this "Lady". I am willing to consider any reasonable offer.
