I noticed when cleaning my 72 Commando that the rear sprocket/brake drum has some wobble to it. When rebuilding the bike I installed all new bearings in the brake drum hub and installed new cush drive "rubbers" on the wheel side. The bike runs fine, but this wobble doesn't seem kosher to me. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks,Skip

Wobble RUNOUT? Or wobble LOOSENESS? Not rotational, but side to side?

Yes, do not drive said vehicle until this safety issue is resolved. Take it all apart and try again. Perhaps the big circlip to retain the double row bearing has popped out ,a known issue. :|

Thanks everyone for your input. The drum has side to side play. Maybe that cir clip did pop out. I'll take it apart and check.

Heck a broken axle is hardly detectable either till ya try to steer or slow down much. Wobble increases chance of axle fissioning. Hope its simple and cheap.
