Hi all - can anyone advise me on wiring routing - 1972 750 Combat Roadster?
While I took care to label all connections on original harness before removing it, foolishly I did not note or photograph the routing .
I had purchased a new RGM main harness from a friend a few years back who did not need it. I just received a new headlamp harness from RGM and it is cloth wrapped and much nicer than the tape wrapped main harness so I am ordering a cloth wrapped main harness from them as well - it’s only money , right?
Specifically right now my questions are :
Horn sub harness ( two leads from horn ) - where to from horn ? Under crosstube of gearbox cradle ? Over crosstube and under battery tray ? Up behind rear wall of battery tray ?
Alternator leads after they exit inner primary cover ?
Points leads - up right down tube towards coils ?
I thought I could make the horn connections after installing horn , battery tray , fender etc. but that is proving difficult so I am likely looking at some disassembly - any help would be appreciated- photos a plus if I may be so bold .
Thanks all - RT

A local friend with an original 73 is letting me pick it up this weekend and park it in my garage so that I can look at placements. PM me and I will send you photos as needed.

When I built my own wiring harness, I bought the Norton head light harness which was nice to wire to as I got started on my custom harness. I noticed that Norton had run the handle bar switch wires back up under the tank where they picked up certain wires of the head light harness. I like the idea of running the switch wires up into the headlight. I did that and since it was my own harness I feel like it made a cleaner job. I now have fewer connections under the tank and more connections in the headlight.
Dan.
