Hi All,

I have a 1972 that didn't come with directionals.

The left hand side flipper in the up switch position connects the GN wire with GR. In the down position it connects GN and GW . The plastic flippers I have are both the same. When I put the switch back together the flipper will move in only in one direction.

The right hand side flipper in the up switch position does nothing. In the down position it connects U and UR . When I put the switch back together the flipper will move in only in one direction.

I understand that the GN and GR wires are for the directionals I don’t have, but shouldn’t the flipper go in both direction. I can understand the other side only going in one direction because of only the one function.

Can anyone shed some light on this? Some pictures or a video would be great.

Thanks,

This is an end view of a broken 'flipper'.
The lip means it will only be on-off and not on-off-on.
Either get the correct flipper or remove the lip.

The turn signal and the high/low beam switch levers are different. Here are a couple of pictures showing the differences. In each picture the left hand lever is for the turn signals and the lever on the right is for the high/low beam switch.

I hope this is of some help.

Thanks All!!!

Your input confirms that I need a different flipper for the on-off-on side.
