Wiring Diagram for Mk3 Starter Motor

Hi Guys,

My fields are reversed (motor spinning the wrong way) on my Mk3 starter motor (4 windings, 4 brushes). Does anyone have a simple diagram that will lead to correct phasing? Looking into the commutator section from the end, I see two white brush wires and two black. It looks as though the only choice I have is in the relative positions of these brushes. I have no idea what the internal connections look like.

To reverse the starter rotation (4 windings & 4 brushes) I think all you have to do is move each brush (clockwise?) around to the next brush holder?
