I want to use the vintage looking tricon switch on my 1970 Norton Commando S but I dont like the switch action, very cheep feel and I would like the kill switch to be positive on or off not the temporary button ,seems unsafe. any suggestions.

When I acquired my 1971 Roadster, it had the unused indicator switch rewired to operate as the kill switch.

The Tricon push button is a magneto (to ground) kill switch not a battery ignition kill switch. The pre-'71 Commando (with the Triconsul switch) didn't have a kill button.
The Triconsul buttons were for horn and headlamp flash.

ok a little clearer now and no its a brand new Andover unit. my bike came with a later grey handel bar combo switch control with the unused hand lever mounting point. I could use that If desparate
