Why can't I post a new topic in the P11 Thread?

Hi all,

I'm trying to get up to speed on this forum and may need some help? I'm usually perseverant and wind up figuring things out for myself. In this case maybe I need administrator permission as the button for posting in the P11 thread remains on reply.

And a photo:

So let's see if I can do it here?

Thanks, Jerry

You can't start a new topic within an existing thread, because it's somebody else's (BillT's) topic.
I've corrected your YouTube link (wrong code), but I can't decipher the 'image' error.

Thanks I.A.B.

That explains it. Not sure why I got the wrong code for the video? All I did was copy and paste what YouTube provided for sharing.

As far as the picture is concerned, maybe Shutterfly is not supported? I'm going to try that again here:

Looks like the problem remains, so I guess I can't use my Shutterfly account here. Is Google images supported?

If you use the 'Edit' button to open your original message, then you can see what the correct code(+video tags) is.

I don't have a Shutterfly account, however, according to their information page it states: "SHARE SOCIALLY, Share on Facebook, blogs an other social networks" so it might be possible if you can find an image code that begins with: "http", and ends with ".jpg"

Not sure, I will try to find out. Most of us here use Photobucket: http://www.Photobucket.com

Many thanks I.A.B.

Your help is appreciated. My problem remains with Shutterfly so It looks like I will have to try something else? I'll see what VIP membership offers? And investigate photobucket.

PS I used your tip and studied the original file extension used by YouTube and it seems that I just need to trim the excess code beginning with the question mark.
