Hello,

Can anyone tell me a part number or provide a photo of the Ammeter which was originally fitted to the Triumph T80 as i am pretty sure this one is not the original:

your amp gauge looks very similiar to my 1935 3/1 sv 350 ......

These are photos of an unmolested, one owner from new, 1939 350cc 3H (cooking version of the T80). Probably a good guide as to what yours would have had...

Thanks a lot for the Photos which will definitely be of help to me.

Sorry i took so long to reply.....got bogged down in another project. Now i have actually taken delivery of the bike in question. It came with the low level exhaust which was in need of replacement so i chose a hi-Level one. When i tried to fit it it didn't! The exhaust stub at the Head has 38 mm (1 - 1/2") whereas the exhaust pipe has an inner diameter of 41 mm.

I tell myself that the manufacture perhaps needs a fatter pipe to make the necessary curves - still i am a little concerned, that i might have a head from 3H or something on the bike, so it would be great to hear from you or any other T80 owner who could confirm the outer diameter of the exhaust stub for me.

Thanks
