I recently made the mistake of getting some regular tubes from a Honda shop when installing new tires.

Both front and rear, in spite of great care in installation, are slowly leaking air.

What are the best quality tubes nowadays and where to get them.
I am running a 19 inch front, and 18 inch rear.
Thanks for any comments

I've had good luck with Dunlop but many favor Michelin. That said, I just got a Pirelli for the front of my Commando as it was available in smaller 19 " (3.25 I believe). Got them from Dennis Kirk who seemed to have good prices on the tires. Hope that helps.
Cheers,

good suggestion, I am willing to pay top dollar for tubes that WILL NOT LEAK

still soliciting ideas and sources
thanks

They all leak if you pinch them. I have used Kenda, IRC, Michelin, Metzeler, and Pirelli in the last 2-3 years. None leaked unless I pinched it on installation. Very easy to do. The heavy duty off-road tubes will take a little more abuse on installation, but they warn against using them for street tires.

After many years of changing tires and pinching tubes, I think I have finally mastered it. I haven't pinched a tube in the last 5-6. I use plenty of talc on the tube, tire mount lube on the bead, and most importantly, inflate the tube to full shape (but soft) before levering the second bead on.

I need to put a new set on my '73 Roadster, so I have probably just jinxed myself.

I've had good luck with Michelin and Metzeler, but any good name brand probably just as good.

Words to look for: "Heavy Duty"

Words to avoid: "Economy"

I install myself; don't trust the monkeys in the shops plus its saves money and more importantly, down time and trips to shops.
