Bike is 74 Commando Mk2

Need to buy new air box/carb boots. Bike has stock Amal's.

I have searched the forum but have not found good results?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have been reading some of the restoration threads and they are very helpful.

Thank you!!

I buy mine from RGM and they come in Andover Norton packaging (they are an AN dealer) and they have not cracked like the ones I had to buy in the 80's. So RGM or Andover Norton or any dealer selling Andover Norton parts.

I bought mine from AN back in '06 - took some futzing - had to cut off one of the tabs and re-weld it in the proper location to align. But after doing that and then cleaning and repainting, it looked/functioned as new. I assume their QC is better than it was back then - when I found that around 50% of their "original replacement parts" weren't, at least without some reworking. ;)

Does your MKII use the big plastic airbox or the metal perforated ham can ?
The rubber hoses are different slightly for each setup.
The later plastic box type have a wider gap where they fit to the thicker plastic box.
Earlier ham can hoses have a thinner gap to fit tight on the thin metal front plate.

Quality has improved over the years. Get mine from Walridge Motors here in Ontario.

AN on mine for four years. On and off a few times. No problems still in good shape.
Ham can type application.

Thank you all for the info! This bike has the Armor Ham can airbox. I'll be contacting AN to be sure I get the correct boots.

I just had to take my carbs off and remembered that it is so much easier to replace the boots with the carb and manifold off. I remember trying to do this back in the 70's with the carbs and airbox in place. I got the boots for my Mk2a from RGM.
