After I did some work and replaced the timing cover gasket, the oil pressure relief valve suddenly did not hold the oil
pressure from going too high when the engine was cold.
I pulled out the valve and put in a decent used one and the problem still remains.
I think that it may be the the new timing cover gasket is missing a hole for the excess oil to flow out of the cover. But before I pull the
cover off, can someone tell me where the passage with excess oil pressure flow leads to and how I can check it is clear
I want to be able to check that it is not blocked if I find that the gasket did have a hole.
