If anyone does it then the US is the place to look. I looked a few years ago globally and could not find anyone who makes the clear ethanol proof hose in 1/2'' Gates and Cohline do it in black hose.

Hi Jimbo
I brought mine from a kart racing site. can't remember if it had writing on it though.

Where can I find proper sized clear fuel line? AN sells what they call 1/2" to fit the crimped ferrules, but it is under sized

Amazon product ASIN B000WOJ7R6

What is the proper size ?

I have found that installing 5/16 fuel fittings (banjos , outlet, filters) and using 1/4 Motion pro tygon clear tubing was best.
The clear tygon goes yellow in about 4-6 months, just change it out to keep a fresh look.

Using 1/4 on 5/16 doesnt require clamps.

Try UNITED STATES PLASTIC CORP. in Lima, OH. They have many different types of tubing. I use the VERSILON C-210-A PU TUBING
1/4 I.D. x 3/8 O.D. Note the smaller o.d. The 1/2" od looks too big and is quite a bit stiffer. This stuff is the best I've used.
It will stretch over 5/16 if heated.
fits snuggly over 1/4 with no clamps needed.
Does not turn yellow.
Remains flexible.
A few years ago it was $1 per foot. The shipping was UPS at $25. I usually buy 30 ft.

I use Motion Pro Tygon line - It stays softer longer than any other clear line I have tried. Tygon in other brands is probably good too.
I don't crimp - just use spring clips
Cheers

I just use black rubber fuel lines, never goes hard and last forever, I know I have fuel just by the tickle or my motor running lol.

NO - DO NOT USE VERSILON 210 I tried it for awhile and after a year or so the internal surface begins to break down and gums up your carb (float needle etc). My carbs started flooding because of sticky float needles. I noticed the inside of the tubing turning fuzzy and thats because it was getting soft and melting off because of the ethanol. Soak it overnight and you will see that it softens. Get the black or yellow tygon instead.

Mcmaster 5549k47 is black
or
yellowish clear 5552K25

Plain vinal will work but hardens.

I haven't had problems but I will check the tubing that's been on the Atlas for a couple of years. If decomposing tubing gets into the idle circuit of Amals then that's the end of them.
