Wheel Hub Lock Ring Thread Direction?

Not wishing to hijack the other thread on hub lock rings, I'd like to seek the wisdom of the forum - I have a disc front hub here with a right hand threaded lock ring. Is this for a pre-MkIII wheel, or a MKIII?

As ever, any help would be most appreciated! :)

The pre-MkIII hub has the lock ring. The Mk.III hub has a circlip retainer.

Thanks for the helpful info - what confused me was that the Clymer manual states that the ring is left-hand threaded. I've got a pile of factory manuals here, so perhaps I should have referred to them first!

The left hand thread statement was an early error in the factory shop manual that Clymer copied. I beleive the factory corrected the manual, Clymer never did. I remeber the first time I took one of these out. The Clymer book instructs you to use force as the ring can be very tight. After basically destroying the lock ring trying to get it out I inspected the remains and found it was not a left hander as they described.
Another lesson learned the hard way!
