What's happening at Norton? Sale to TVS, massive investment, new bikes...

That look will go nicely with the new logo. Don’t forget that they will be targeting a different demographic to the classic Norton owner.

The seat should be longer, and the plate should be behind/under the seat.

Well, they stole ideas from every other sport bike and then threw on the Ducati Duvial plate holder just to round out the theft. It'd better show up to the show with some "super premium" components because they really made a 848 I mean....1098.....ehhhh Duvial thing.

I agree, or maybe even some cool new concepts for a sportbike/Superbike that a cutting edge company would introduce.
I mean after all, they do have some MV DNA in their company, don't they?

It would be a cutting-edge copy!! That's what they do. I think the Indian companies take an affront to using outside design people. They need a guy like Massimo Tamburini, who actually designed for Ducati and MV, or Michael Czysz, who, if you haven't watched anything about him, would have changed motorcycle design and suspension if he hadn't lost a battle to cancer. They need to strike a balance between copy and something that Norton can stand on for the future, because if not, all the reviews will be the same.
 
OH BOY! I CANT wait until the actual reveal! The disappointment and the overdrawn feeling and lack of individual designing and development from NORTON.
Remember, this is what many of you been waiting for and excited about. Only to have your dreams crushed.
What a waste of time.
Can’t wait to see the recall letters.
 
I suspect those that want Norton to succeed will just wait until the launch to see what they have actually produced, before passing final judgement.

Even then we’re gonna need some decent road tests to follow, before we have anywhere near a full picture.

It’s not gonna have the amount of bling hanging off it as the V4SV does, due to the expected price range. Let’s hope that it more than makes up for that in other areas.

One thing that doesn't add up is why build a full on sports bike if your not going to race it? TVS have said that racing is not on their sights. Just to have a presence at the IOM TT is huge publicity. Its also an opportunity to show your wares just like they did with the 961 in 2014. If anything back a privateer and show the bike is serious kit.

The market seems to have moved on from sports bikes and big touring bikes. Just look at Triumph. So I wonder if it's wise to be introducing a new V4 ?

I would like to see that also . It also would be nice to see if they can get it to perform like the competitors.

Hi Cliffa , This bike is really not new is it. ? It’s the V4SV engine with more cost effective chassis. Cutting the price in half will be the greatest benefit to them. If the engine is truly good then they can build upon that.

Norton doesn’t have the customer base, money or interest Ducati does. Just days ago, everyone was saying TVS Norton was going to first release small displacement bikes.

Personally like the Hooligan V4 concept. Simple to do.
Just tear off the fairing, replace clip-ons with low bars, lower the pegs a bit, Viola - a Hooligan.

TVS/Norton are not going racing until they get rid of the red ink on the ledger.
If their machines do sell, it's still going to take years for them to get to profitability.
Norton has a parent company that doesn't want to get buried under a mountain of debt.

The problem with racing nowadays is that it was ruined by bagger racing. The stupid thing I've ever seen in my life...sorry, I'll take whatever beating is coming for that statement, but nothing sexy about a big ole bagger running around the track

I think that’s a phenomenon only seen in the US of A. Mind you, folks will race anything. For example, in the UK they race lawnmowers! (Without panniers though)😜
