What size spokes?

I'm going to have Buchanan lace my 74 MKII rear wheel with stainless spokes. They list 2 sizes for a Norton -

8-10 gauge spokes with .250" nipples
8 gauge spokes with .281" nipples

What's the difference, and which is closer to stock?

What is the (Dunlop?) rim number?

Edit: I would expect it to be stamped either (Dunlop WM2-19) 'MB41' or 'MC286' unless it's a Jones rim?

It's a WM-2 19"

Unfortunately, that doesn't answer the question.

Is it MB41 or MC286?

OK, so the nipples should be 0.30" diameter with 9 SWG (0.144") spokes which rules out the 8/10 gauge, 0.250" kit as that would be for the MB41 rim.

The Buchanans 0.281" nipples are slightly undersized to replace 0.30".
