Hi All,
i cannot understand what is and where goes this spacer: max diameter 30mm, inside diameter 21mm, overall lenght/tickness 11mm.
It should not be the 060402 Rotor Spacer that is: max diameter 33,3 mm, inside diameter 19 mm, overall lenght/tickness 14,3 mm., neither the spacer clutch location that is more thin.
Thank you.
Piero

What is this spacer?

What is this spacer?

What is this spacer?

I dont think,
It is 11 mm thick, the rotor spacer one is 14,3 mm.
Or may be it was an early rotor spacer to use with more thick shims?
Ciao

Hi and thank you.
The spacer that goes "over the square circlip behind the clutch" is thin 5 mm, large 33mm, internal 22.

Piero, what makes you think that spacer is a Norton part to begin with :?:

Look at Gearbox Outer Cover, Section C7 in 1971 Parts Manual, Plate No: 3, Part No: 040472, Kick Start Bush Outer. I got some rough measurements of one installed in an outer cover and it looks like what you have.

Going by Piero's measurements (30 x 21 x 11mm) it wouldn't seem big enough diameter (both I/D and O/D) to be 040472?
I don't think 040472 has a recess, either.

LAB is correct, the drawing is misleading, makes it look like it has a recess for the sealing o-ring. I pulled the kick start bushing out of the outer case that I have here and the bushing measures 32mm O.D. x 24mm I.D. and is 9mm thick and has a chamfer on the inside edge, the o-ring seal has it's own recess in the outer cover, there is no recess in the inside bore of the bushing.
