Ok - I'm a total novice when it comes to these bikes - hense my question in the subject. I've seen in a few posts - "I tickled the carbs..." "The carbs won't flood on the tickler..." etc. What in the heck are you guys talking about???
It's simply the device for depressing the float and thereby allowing the float chamber and thus carb to overflow. Crude but effective in terms of cold starting (or at least it is once you get the hang of when it's needed).
It has been a feature of Amals since the very begining but eventually diasappeared due to fuel vapour / environmental concerns.
