Re: What do you think I'm doing this week?

Riding???? And we have rain forecast for tomorrow!!! And the Southern Calif. Norton club has it's 38th annual all British Ride on the Angeles Crest Highway in the morning!!!! Have fun Dave, I may go anyway. I remember the Colorado Rally and riding through rain and hail at over 10,000 ft. So this won't be so bad (right) Argh!! Have fun Dave.

You can do it, Chuck! But be sure to pack your waterproofs. Riding through a cold driving rain with just a sweatshirt is not too pleasant.

Have fun, Dave. Kind of chilly here this weekend. I think it's going to be a shop day for me tomorrow. Maybe a short outing if the sun comes out in the afternoon.

Debby

LOL You remember that Debby?? Yea lucky that it was nice and warm when we came down the mountain. I heard the 2013 Rally will be in Wyoming, I hope it's as nice as Colorado was. That was a great rally I'll never forget, Great people and roads.

Oh yeah I remember that ride. I was leading the short ride that day. The plan was to ride over Lizard Head Pass to Telluride and return. Most people bailed at Rico when the skies turned dark and the rain started falling. A few of us pressed on. The sun came out when we were having lunch in Telluride and someone suggested "why not go all the way around?" It seemed like a good idea at the time...

Same idea, other side of the pond

Been out today 150 miles to Abergavenny bike meet, beautiful sunny day here in UK bike & went like a wet dream :D

Hang on in there L.A.B....

Sure it will be your turn (on east side) for a good day next month! Getting all t'biking in I can b4 snow arrives

Sn*w! No swearing here!

Anyway, my shiny 'toys' have already been SORN-ed and put away in the toy box-until next spring!

Will be 65 F here in Michigan today. Soon as I get a new window stained this afternoon, I'll be a riding. Not many good days left here in the Thumb of Michigan. Snow will be a blowing soon.

I taxed my BMW1200GS yesterday after a month of SORN but got on the Commando today, just can't be bothered with the Beemer anymore. Great bike but hot half as much fun

Just got electric power back last night after October snowstorm last Saturday (Oct 29) dumped about 15" on us. Downed trees everywhere - looks like war zone. I think I jinxed it when I said I was done riding a few weeks ago due to wet leaves on the road. Shit I'll take the wet leaves anytime!

There's a road on the far windward side here that curves through a grove of monkeypod trees, its almost like an unlit tunnel. Though it looks to be an inviting sweeper, often there will be a layer of slippery, slimy, fallen leaves on the road.

Just a couple of weekends ago a 53 year old gal lost control of her Honda on one of those curves, took a spill, and died then and there. No helmet. Ride carefully my friends.

aloha,

Don
