Hello and good Morning,
For a Dutch customer I'm currently planning to build an 850cc Cylinder head using 41mm inlet- and 35/36mm exhaust valves. Steve Maney had them on stock and certainly built this conversion.
Does somebody know if he still sells the valves as spare parts? If not, has somebody an idea where I can get espcially the bigger exhaust valves? The 41mm valves can still be purchased in very good quality from Mick Hemmings. So, that wouldn't be a problem.
What could also be done is:
I could use Black Diamond valves from Kibblewhite, they have 41/35mm and 42/36 for the Yamaha XS 650, which have suitable lengths to the Norton. The disadvantage is that I'd have to manufacture the valve spring retainers myself from Aluminium T 7075 or steel (I know to little about titanium, so I won't use this material).
I did a conversion using these valves on my own cylinder head. It worked well for 4500miles (untill I checked the conversion). I prefer using steel for the customer.
Any ideas?

Steve's website is still active and he still has stuff for sale - if it's shown as in stock it's still available.
As already said, he's out of the country a lot, so can only supply when he's in the UK (not in winter!) but he still responds to e-mail.
