what engines fit featherbed frame

Or this beauty
what engines fit featherbed frame

I knew a chap who built a Norton/ Honda 750/4 . Checked the feasibility by buying two model kits, Norton Manx and Honda 750, built the model to check the fit, then built the real thing.

... what looks "right" are two different things.
What looks "right" to some looks "wrong" to others.

There has been everything from singles to 8 cylinders, two-stroke and four stroke, modern and vintage, fit into stock featherbed frames, and much wilder stuff fit into modified featherbeds.

Just because it can be done is the only reason needed to DO IT!

That big heavy Ariel mill would have about ten horses less than the little 650ss, if comparing stock to stock.
The Ariel is said to be prone to overheating, the 650ss is not.
I suspect the handling with any big heavy lump , including a Vincent, would not be what one would call nimble.
The Ariel/Featherbed does look very impressive though!

Yep - like the hillbilly said to Burt Reynolds’s character in “Deliverance”
“ What do you want to f_ck around with that River for ? “

” Because it’s there “

i is po cant afford $100,000 bike but look alike (sorta) is Ok with me

I love the Vinago. I toyed with the idea of converting my old Yamaha TR1 ( XV920 in the States) into one, but the draconian Swiss authorities probably wouldn’t have approved it.

For once, I’m on the side of the authorities ;)

An alternative take on the theme… cheap too… a bargain you might say…
