Kibblewhite has never answered my question as to if they offer their pushrods in the Combat length. Does anyone have any experience with the Left Coast Racing pushrods Old Britts sells? I figure anything they sell is good, but nothing comes up on an internet search for Left Coast Racing.

Left Coast Racing is me. Just a small shop-behind-the-home part time business, mostly selling by word of mouth to racers and some retailers. Not very active now that I'm getting old, mostly just supplying custom JE racing pistons (for Nortons of course), and a few other odds and ends. I make the pushrods up for Fred at Old Britts in standard and Combat length. I also make them to order in custom lengths on request, but not very often. There's not much profit in it, so I haven't advertised for more customers. By the time I've bought the ends from Smith or Compcams, and high quality tubing, there's not much profit in it, and I'm definitely not making minimum wage for my time. I bought the specialized tools for making them mostly so I could make them to custom lengths for my own engine builds, and maybe play with different materials. I started selling them just to recover some of the cost of the tools.

I started the business back in 1990, partly as a means to write off racing expenses. I started with importing alloy cylinders in quantity from Drew Robertson in England, and then cleaning up the machining quality to suit American buyers. I gave that up when Steve Maney started supplying alloy cylinders of much better quality. Over the years I added other other product lines, cams, valves, pistons, etc. The only products I really sell in any quantity now are the JE pistons, which I have in a variety of sizes, but mostly just to existing customers.
